Metabolic Testing
There are 2 types of metabolic testing: basic metabolic panel (BMP) and Comprehension metabolic test.. A basic metabolic panel is a blood test that measures your sugar (glucose) level, electrolyte and fluid balance, calcium levels, and kidney function. Glucose is a type of sugar your body uses for energy. Electrolytes keep your body's fluids in balance.
Metabolic testing - also called a comprehensive metabolic panel or CMP - is a set of blood tests that provides information about your metabolism, or your body's ability to convert and use energy. This energy is responsible for all of your body's functions including breathing, digesting food, circulating blood, eliminating wastes from the body, and much more.
